2026 Blue & Gold Information

Good afternoon Sea Lions!

My name is Kerry, and I am on our board as one of our team’s League Representatives - this year Shalom and Brynne are also training for the job, and both are great additions to our board! Thanks and welcome to Shalom and Brynne!

For those that are new, the League Representatives function as our Meet Director. League Reps will send communications to the team about all things pertaining to meets and rules. They are the liaison to other teams to get and relay all the information we need to ensure all meets (home or away) are run efficiently, fairly, and according to rules (both league and team rules).

Questions about meets and rules?  League Reps are your helpers :)

Blue & Gold is coming up tomorrow (Wednesday), and is a “practice” intersquad meet for our kids and parents. This isn’t an official league meet, but one that we run within our team so everyone can experience the look and feel of a meet. Every swimmer that is declared to attend is setup to swim a 25 (one pool length) or 50 (two pool lengths) of every eligible stroke for their age group.

There are no stroke judges or disqualifications (DQs) - but coaches use this meet to get accurate times for our swimmers and to see if they look to be legal in those strokes. Please encourage your kiddos to give them all a try and to have some fun!

We have some great info on our website to help you navigate meets:

We will release heat sheets for Blue & Gold to help you get use to navigate them before our first official league meet. League Reps will announce the scheduled time that heat sheets will be released prior to each meet.

For Blue & Gold, we will release heat sheets this evening (Tuesday) by 6pm.

I've attached our team rules here as well - please take a look and let us know if there are any questions.

Looking forward to a great start to the season!

Kerry
