Important Information - Please read before our next home meet
Good morning Sea Lions,
This is a VERY important, and unfortunately unpleasant email. Please make sure you read through this one in its entirety.
Members of our Exec team met with the Community Association (CA) management team late last week, and they alerted us to several instances of inappropriate behavior during swim practices and meets. As part of that discussion, we agreed to send some strong reminders to the team about our behavior at the CA.
We expect all of our families and swimmers will abide by all mentioned in this email. No exceptions.
Any further instances of inappropriate behavior will be considered a violation of Parent and/or Swimmer Code of Conduct, which every team member signed when registering for the team.
Violations of the Code of Conduct will be reviewed by our Exec Board and may result in actions limiting attendance/participation in practices, meets, social events, or dismissal from the team.
CA management will review any further incidents and may take similar action regarding CA members amenity privileges.
Attached to this email are the LSL CA House Rules, provided to us from CA Management. We expect every family will follow them implicitly. Parents are responsible for their swimmer behavior at all times, and are also accountable for the behavior of any family or friends in attendance with them at meets. No exceptions.
CA and Restaurant Management would also like to share their revised policies for sharing the patio space during swim events (meets and social events). We know these are different from years past, and when we learned of these changes late last week, we needed to share with you before our upcoming meet:
- Please do not arrive to set up your seating area for the meet (including the patio area) until around 4pm. This is when the pool closes to the public and the restaurant opens
- Tables on the patio should not be moved without permission of restaurant management
- Canopy/Tailgate tents are not permitted on the patio.
- If extreme heat is a legitimate safety concern, tents may be permitted only on the patio area between the railing and ballroom (not on the large main patio)
- The area roped off on the patio is an extension of the restaurant and is for restaurant patrons only.
- Swim families may use these tables while purchasing food/beverage from the CA Restaurant, but should vacate them when completed with their service.
Thank you everyone for your attention to the rules. We want to make sure that we have a positive relationship with our CA Management team and can ensure the safety of all attendees at our home meets.
Thank you again and see you at the pool,
Kerry
