Good evening Sea Lions!

We fought a tough battle last night, with 153 of our Sea Lions swimming against 188 Sea Dragons - and in a 50 meter pool with very tall blocks too!  Despite our best efforts, we fell short on overall points, LSL 1174.5 to Wentzville 1466.5...but there are plenty of positives to celebrate :)

First, we had 80 swimmers earn a personal best in the toughest pool in town - that's a big accomplishment!  Congrats to all!

Second, our rate of DQ's dropped nearly in half - all that hard work at practice is paying off.  With stroke technique improving, time improvements will continue to follow.  Please tell your kiddos to keep putting in the work and they will keep seeing how much they can improve.

Third, we saw a lot of happy smiles and encouragement on the pool deck.  We love to see our swimmers cheering on their teammates at the pool!  We like to compete, but we also want to make sure summer swim is a fun experience for all the kids, parents, and coaches.

And speaking of coaches - a big thank you to Coaches Ken and Ava for all your hard work for this meet, and for the other parents and swimmer coaches that have put in extra time to help at practice.  We all appreciate you!

Attached are the final results from the meet.  Make sure you are ready for next week's meet where we will challenge O'Fallon for the 2nd time this season, but this time on their pool deck.

Thanks everyone and see you at the pool!
